1. What We Collect

When you use YT Coach, we may collect:

  • Account information — email address, display name, and hashed password when you register
  • Usage data — YouTube URLs you analyze, timestamps, and credit transactions
  • Device data — browser type, IP address, and anonymized session identifiers
  • Feedback and notes — any coaching notes or feedback you save within the app

2. How We Use It

We use your data to:

  • Provide and improve the Service
  • Process your analysis requests and manage your credit balance
  • Send transactional emails (email verification, password resets)
  • Monitor and fix errors and performance issues
  • Prevent abuse and enforce our Terms of Service

We do not sell your personal data to third parties or use it for advertising.

3. Third-Party Services

YT Coach uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:

  • Cloudflare — hosting, DNS, and edge infrastructure
  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • Google OAuth — optional sign-in via Google account
  • Sentry — error tracking and performance monitoring
  • Groq — AI model inference for video analysis

YouTube URLs you submit are sent to Groq's API for processing. We do not store raw video content.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Analysis history is retained to power your recent videos list and may be deleted by you at any time. Guest (tourist) sessions and associated data are automatically purged after 90 days of inactivity.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@ytcoach.app. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Cookies

We use session cookies and localStorage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences (theme, accent color). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. You can clear stored preferences at any time via Settings → Preference → Manage Cookies.

7. Children

YT Coach is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
